Sen. Joseph Lieberman, take note: It looks to be a long, hot, bloody summer at the multiplex, and EW promises to keep track of every corpse. Kicking off this year's carnage is The Mummy Returns, which featured shootings, stabbings, impalings, and, in one case, dismemberment (by The Rock's Scorpion King), though the PG-13 film is oddly shy about showing blood. Not counting CGI-enhanced nonhuman critters, our rough tally comes to: 77. Of course, some of those victims just may be reincarnated in The Mummy 3.
