The debut album from Welsh trio Stereophonics is filled with catchy, bumptious Brit pop, but the single "Traffic" is their least distinctive song — a heavy-lidded anthem that sounds suspiciously like Oasis. Still, Kelly Jones' astringent lyrics and gruff delivery restrain the song's bombastic impulses — at least until the instrumental coda, which lurches off like the power ballad you know it wanted to be all along.
