Last week saw movie fans fixing popcorn, or perhaps cornbread, and checking out Soul Food, a family drama starring a trio of glamour girls (Vivica A. Fox, Nia Long, and Vanessa L. Williams) as squabbling sisters. The movie blasted to the top of the sales chart and missed beating Conspiracy Theory for the rental prize by one measly cassette per store. So Fox can feel good about rushing its feel-good fall hit to videotape only four months after its theatrical premiere.
