Out with the old, in with the new -- that phrase certainly rang true with this week's chart debuts. The Replacement Killers -- the stylized shoot-'em-up manufactured to make a U.S. superstar out of Hong Kong action hero Chow Yun-Fat -- did a muscular $8 million, while Blues Brothers 2000 got stuck on the downbeat, striking up just $6.1 million on 571 additional screens. Nil by Mouth, Gary Oldman's semiautobiographical directorial debut, enjoyed the weekend's best per-screen average, taking in $14,184 on two screens. As for the obligatory Titanic progress report: The movie became the fourth highest grossing of all time, leapfrogging Forrest Gump, which earned $329.7 million at domestic box offices. And last weekend marked the eighth consecutive weekend Titanic has earned more than $20 million, but also the first that it's dipped under $25 million. Tough break.
