The TITANIC soundtrack yields to no man -- not even a better man like Eddie Vedder. Pearl Jam's Yield debuted at No. 2 with 358,000 sold -- on par with the nearly 367,000 No Code moved in its '96 debut, if a long way from the 950,000 Vs. managed in '93. The first-week figure for No Code wound up accounting for a quarter of that album's 1.3 million sales to date; Yield stands to do better if the group's plans to tour and make videos hold. Titanic edged up a bit in sales, from 582,000 to 588,000 -- and that was before Oscar nominations hit. The real winner, though, might be Will Smith, whose Big Willie Style finally cracked the top 10, giving the man in black a shot at getting his album in the black.
