Basically Yanni with samplers and some nonproprietary dance-music software, this French "world music" duo do have a very good ear for source material on Comparsa, and this time their vocal guests include the late Malagasy folk queen Mama Sana and swooning Syrian soul man Abed Azrie. But as usual, the visitors can't redeem the music, which is wine-bar electronica at its most irritating. If this is global haute cuisine, I'll have a burger. C
