WHAT A WOMAN! Sophia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni, Charles Boyer (1956, Hen's Tooth, unrated, $19.95) Better known as ''Lucky to Be a Woman,'' this romantic comedy is lighter than lint and about as enchanting, but it captures Loren on the road from homemade Italian sex bomb to vulgarized Hollywood pinup.

As a shop girl with modeling aspirations, she's wooed by a raffish photographer (Mastroianni) and a sugar daddy agent (Boyer). Muddy dubbing renders Mastroianni charmlessly glib, but Loren, of the twin-missile bosom and incendiary eyebrows, duly detonates. C
