A dud in theaters last fall, this hard-ass thriller should prove to be a pleasant surprise for junk-movie junkies. In Most Wanted, Wayans stays stone-faced as an assassin on the run after being framed for the First Lady's murder. In stark contrast to that no-frills performance are the distractingly obsequious Eric Roberts, a grimacing Robert Culp, and Voight as a rabid renegade general. What with plot convolutions, the general's colorful rants, and some strikingly stylized action when Wayans flees on foot down an L.A. freeway, pursued by a screenful of ordinary citizens, it really seems like the whole world is against him you barely notice how contrived the whole thing is.
