This Brit soulster masterfully replicates Green's raspy burr, yet has missed his gritty, transcendent soul: Only on the title track and ''So In Love'' does Ali get down and dirty. Sadly, the rest of this overproduced, cliche-ridden debut proves to be anything but crucial. B-
