Dave Matthews, watch out: Another funky hybrid band from Virginia has its designs on the alt-granola format. Granted, AGR's major-label debut, One by One is all over the place: hippie-go-lucky spunk here, seductive white soul there, and distorted fusion jams in between. But Andrew Winn's raspy vocals guide you nicely through this world of many colors. B
