Your mom's Judy Garland, your big sis is Liza Minnelli, and you've got a bit of the performance bug yourself — will somebody give Lorna Luft a break? The author, late of Trapper John, M.D. and Grease 2, totes up her life's torments with magnanimous detachment in Me and My Shadows: A Family Memoir: scrubbing her stepfather's bloodstains off the carpet, enduring Minnelli's shrieks of ''I want a f---ing hot dog!'' en route to Betty Ford, floating druggily through that bizarre realm of celebrity by association, in which one might be courted by Burt Reynolds yet dissed by Halston. At least this time around, hers is the tough act to follow. B+
