After the Fall

Details Writer: Suzanne Somers; Genres: Memoir, Television

Having disposed of her father's alcoholism in her first memoir, Keeping Secrets, Ms. Somers — the famously fired Three's Company twit-turned- Vegas showgirl and Home Shopping Network habitue — here in After the Fall unpacks some remaining baggage with pert, likable efficiency. To wit: ''control issues'' with a string of industry Svengalis; on-set spats with sulky Joyce DeWitt (the brunet one); and her ''blended family,'' with husband/manager Alan Hamel, which sounds like one of those lo-cal smoothies she's so fond of whipping up. The truth, she bleats more than once, shall set her free. Truth, and a ThighMaster. B
