Tour boredom often leads to the silliest of rock-star antics (see Oasis' rap sheet), but the ennui sometimes produces positive results, like this collaboration between former tour mates Ui and Stereolab. Fires strips away the latter band's kitsch and adds the former's strong, inventive beats. Too short at 261/2 minutes, it's still incalculably more creative than a TV through the window. A-
