Leaving his body, he travels to a place of ''Crystal Cathedrals'' where ''Beings of Light'' review his troubled life and assign him an earthly mission before sending him home. Friends and family think he's nuts until near-death- experience expert Dr. Raymond Moody (McManus) explains all. Despite corny heaven imagery, this powerful conversion story worthy of Saul lets Roberts channel his usual searing intensity into a nicely life-affirming New Age mystery. B+
