Remastered For Their Domains

''Seinfeld'' on disc ?- The soon-to-retire stars got DVDs of their favorite episodes as a parting gift

What do you give the cast that has everything — or enough money to buy everything? Castle Rock's Seinfeld producers pondered this question when deciding on a parting gift for the soon-to-retire fab four. The answer: a limited-edition DVD of Jerry Seinfeld's four favorite episodes: ''The Boy-friend,'' ''The Rye,'' ''The Pothole,'' and ''The Yada Yada.''

Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander, as well as show cocreator Larry David (who wrote the May 14 swan song) received the keepsake after the show wrapped. Whether the giftees own DVD players is another matter. Richards does — he bought one in April — but Seinfeld and Louis-Dreyfus won't say, and it seems that Alexander will need to watch at a friend's or content himself with another Castle Rock gift, all 169 episodes on VHS.
