SLAYER Diabolus in Musica (American) The thrash pioneers mark their return to the metal scene with all the subtlety of a hydrogen bomb, attacking their instruments with the usual SWAT-team precision and searing urgency. Musica proves that these guys are still one of the tightest (and angriest) bands around, but its circa-'91 riffs sometimes stray into the frenetically unmemorable. In other words, set the blender to warp speed and enter at your own risk. C+
