B-

NO LOOKING BACK Lauren Holly, Edward Burns, Jon Bon Jovi (1998, PolyGram, R, $101.99) When a rocker-turned-thespian is the best thing in a movie, you know you're in for it. Actually, Bon Jovi isn't bad in this trite tale of a small-town waitress torn between her fiance (played by Mr. Multiplatinum) and a former boyfriend who drifts back into her life. That's more than can be said for the triangle's two other points, Holly and writer-director-star Burns. And the less said about his cliched dialogue (''If I were you...'' ''Yeah? Well you're not me, are ya?''), the better. D+
