DMX It's Dark and Hell Is Hot (Ruff Ryders/Def Jam) This Yonkers MC blew onto the scene with the fury of a hellhound in heat, unleashing his turbulent vocals on tracks by Mase, L.L., and the Lox. Unfortunately, he can't turn the bang-'em-up impact of those transcendent guest verses into cohesive tracks of his own. Hooks he's got, but this much hyped debut -- on which he likens the grit of street life to the Seventh Circle -- is a lot of bark and little bite. C
