KISSING A FOOL David Schwimmer, Jason Lee, Mili Avital (1998, Universal, R, $106.99) Another sitcom pilot of an idea tarted up into a feature -- call it Friends by way of Indecent Exposure -- this romantic comedy is as subtle as a vibrating bed. Schwimmer stars as Max, a Neanderthal sportscaster whose best buddy, sensitive-guy novelist Jay (Lee), sets him up on a blind date with his editor, Samantha (real-life Schwimmer love Avital). Max and Sam go gaga and get engaged, then dumb cluck Max tests his fiancee by asking Jay to seduce her. Give it all the attention a summer rerun deserves. C+
