Trading in his loincloth for cold war-era garb, Fraser (George of the Jungle) plays a fish out of water who's lived in a bomb shelter all his life. You see, his mom and dad (Spacek and Walken) took cover back in the '60s, thinking the world was about to go kablooey. Thirty years later, they send their son Adam (Fraser) into the world to stock up on essentials -- including a wife. Enter Silverstone's Eve (Adam and Eve, get it?), who takes to him like a Samaritan to a wounded puppy. ''I'm like the boy in the bubble,'' says Fraser, who describes working with Walken as challenging. ''He says punctuation means nothing to him. I would just know it was my turn to act when all of his words were out.'' Directed by Wilson (The First Wives Club), the New Line romantic comedy may be just what the doctor -- or at least Silverstone's agent -- ordered: The Clueless ingenue needs to redeem herself for Excess Baggage. ''Actually, I only found out a couple of weeks ago how much Baggage made,'' says Silverstone. ''But I'm so proud of it, and was so challenged and excited by everything about it, so to me it was the biggest hit in the world.'' (Dec. 25)
