If nothing else, this was a weekend full of surprises. Blade once again managed to cop top honors, dropping just 36 percent in its second week and dwarfing 54, the week's widest-opening debut. Despite stars Mike Myers and Neve Campbell, the nightclub saga boogied down to $6.6 million. Considering it had a reported budget of $13 million, things could have been worse. Now the good news: On the eve of its video release, Titanic became the first film to grab $600 million at domestic box offices, bringing its worldwide gross to more than $1.8 billion. And There's Something About Mary's box office pattern seems as nutty as the film itself; in its seventh week, the comedy jumped to No. 2 and its earnings increased 9 percent. If Knock Off, the new Jean-Claude Van Damme action flick, fails to open big, Mary may reach No. 1 next week.
