There are four Teletubbies. The Teletubbies are Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po. One, two, three, four. They are friends. They play. They eat toast. They are ''very, very happy.'' You, on the other hand, are reading about the plotless antics of fuzzy, pear-shaped naifs foisted on a preverbal demographic. Here Come the Teletubbies and Dance with the Teletubbies — considerably less mesmerizing than the regular series — will not make you very, very happy unless your basic cognitive skills need work. C+
