There's Something About Mary costars Cameron Diaz, 26,
and Matt Dillon, 34, have reportedly ended their three-year
romance over whether to live in New York or L.A. Spokesmen for
the actors decline to comment.
WEDDINGS
Melanie Brown, 23, a.k.a. Scary Spice, and dancer Jimmy
Gulzar, 23, were wed Sept. 13 in England. It's the first
marriage for both. The couple is expecting a little Spice in

Albert, 56, wed ESPN producer Heather Faulkiner, 40, Sept. 9, in
New York City. It's the second marriage for both...Author Terry McMillan, 46, married student Jonathan Plummer, 24, Labor
Day weekend, in Maui. The couple met in Jamaica in 1995,
inspiring McMillan's book How Stella Got Her Groove Back. It's
the first marriage for both.
RECOVERING
Rocker Joan Jett, 37, after collapsing at a benefit
in L.A.'s Century Plaza Hotel ballroom, Sept. 8. A rep for the
singer attributed the collapse to exhaustion from a ''grueling
schedule.'' Jett was treated at the scene. Her spokeswoman says
Jett was ''completely fine'' the next day.
DEATHS
CNN correspondent John Holliman, 49, from injuries
sustained in a car crash, Sept. 12, near Atlanta. Holliman tried
to pass another vehicle and collided with a truck (the other
driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries). Holliman and
CNN's Peter Arnett and Bernard Shaw were the first U.S.
reporters to broadcast from Baghdad during the Persian Gulf war.
Holliman was scheduled to coanchor coverage of John Glenn's
spaceflight next month...Actor Dane Clark, 85, of lung cancer,
Sept. 11, in Santa Monica. Clark appeared in several movies
during the 1940s and '50s, including 1943's Destination
Tokyo...The body of Dateline NBC producer Bruce Hagan, 42, was
recovered on Sept. 11 from New York Harbor, four days after his
24-foot sailboat capsized. In his four years at Dateline, Hagan
produced segments on everything from O.J. Simpson to Hurricane
Bonnie...Actor Leonid Kinskey, 95, of complications from a
stroke, Sept. 8, in Fountain Hills, Ariz. Kinskey acted in more
than 30 films, but will be best remembered as Sascha the
bartender in 1942's Casablanca. He was believed to be the last
surviving member of the cast...Director Leo Penn, 77, of lung
cancer, Sept. 5, in Santa Monica. Penn, father of actors Sean
and Chris, was a TV director whose credits ranged from Ben Casey to Columbo, for which he won a 1973 Emmy.
