Coerced into transporting illegal guns, a trucker (Patrick Swayze) must fend off good old boys out to hijack his shipment in Black Dog. Chases and crashes follow, all of which seem to belong to a time in movie history when Jerry Reed was considered a star. Perhaps this film could have revived the redneck action genre, if only it had some fresh ideas. Unfortunately, an ATF agent who speaks nonstop psychobabble, a scripture-spouting businessman who turns out to be a bad guy, and Swayze as an unassuming, regular-guy hero don't qualify. D+
