Hard to believe, but there's actually a pop star more plastic than Celine Dion. That's right, Barbie has her own band, Beyond Pink, featuring Mattel peers Christie and Teresa. And the bubble-gum trio's self-titled CD (Sony Wonder) hits stores Oct. 13 accompanied by a radio single (''Boys Will Be Boys'') and a computer-generated music video. EW caught up with the 10-inch songbird between rehearsals.

Q: What did you think of Aqua's 1997 hit ''Barbie Girl''?

A: No comment.

Q: Now that you're a rock star, how long before you start trashing hotel rooms?

A: Since we are a virtual band, it would be virtually impossible to stay in a hotel. Even if we did, we would never do anything like that!

Q: Would you consider a duet with Josie and the Pussycats?

A: Are they still together?

Q: If you were a Spice Girl, which spice would you be?

A: I guess if I had to pick, I would be Virtual Spice.

Q: Why isn't Skipper in the band?

A: Skipper is still in school, and education is so important we wanted her to finish.

Q: What advice would you give to Monica Lewinsky?

A: I think girls will love my new Beyond Pink CD.
