Details Lead Performance: Jack Drag

The Boston trio Jack Drag's major-label debut — brainchild of frontman-songwriter John Dragonetti — is all about nicking from the past without straying from slinky pop-funk grooves. Dope Box has '60s psychedelia, '80s English beats, jacked-up lo-fi...okay, so sometimes it sounds like a wired, self-conscious Beck. But on songs like ''Dope Box'' and ''Psycho Clogs,'' their head-between-the-speakers trippyness makes for groovy patchwork pop. B-
