Orgazmo (1998)

Further proof that we live in absurdly uptight times: While the MPAA hung an NC-17 rating on this friendly, amateurish spoof written and directed by South Park's Trey Parker, it's about as dangerously explicit as R-rated '70s midnight specials like The Kentucky Fried Movie. Less funny, too, although there are intermittent guffaws in the tale of Joe Young (Parker), a wholesome young Mormon who becomes the world's most popular porn star. Dian Bachar, as Joe's pint-size sidekick, sounds the only note of sly wit; the unidentified stripper playing T-Rex delivers the only real shock value. Orgazmo could have used a lot more of both. C-
