If Pras' solo bow fails to achieve the creative heights of his fellow Fugees' groundbreaking efforts, at least it's a state-of-the-art hip-hop album with all the good (tightly constructed, bass-heavy jams) and bad (12 minutes of answering machine messages from his famous friends) that implies. Although it sounds like he's got one ear glued to the No Limit catalog (''Master Pras is 'bout it, 'bout it'') and the other to Puff Daddy (''Blue Angels'' samples the theme from Grease), Ghetto Supastar yields enough lowbrow kicks to keep hardcore heads bobbing until the next Fugees disc.
