Details Lead Performance: The Cardigans

Just when you thought it was safe to write off these Swedes as an Austin Powers-era novelty blip, The Cardigans go all contemporary, shedding their tired '60s-isms in favor of blissfully kitschless trip-hop. Sure, they're late getting on the electronic bandwagon, but a few listens to the refined pop concoctions on Gran Tourismo, and the abrasively catchy ''Lovefool'' will finally fade from memory. B+
