After countless false starts, the Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man has finally released his second solo album, and it's a mindblower, indeed. One of hip-hop's most cunning linguists, the wonder Wu spins out graphic doomsday scenarios, metaphysical parables, and sweaty-palmed odes to female pulchritude over crazed, avant-noise constructs that make Puffy sound like Pat Boone in comparison. Tical 2000 could well be the hip-hop event of the year. A-
