It's only natural that alt-rock's answer to Pink Floyd would release an extravagant live album, but unlike Floyd's pulseless late-period live output, the two-CD set Live at Albert Hall doesn't disappoint. Pumping up their guitar-heavy lineup with strings, horns, and a full gospel choir, the spaced-out Brits of Spiritualized pour themselves into many of their best songs, upping the energy and intensity of the comfortably numb album versions.
