311 made their rep on the road: a concept impossible to fathom from their first, sludgily recorded live album Live. As well, the ersatz homeboy stage patter is even worse than the band's raps. Adding insult to injury, they throw in the requisite live-album cliché, the endless drum solo. The result gives funk-metal a bad name if it could get any worse. D-
