When she played Stephanie, Tony Manero's object of desire, Karen Lynn Gorney was a 32-year-old with an unusual pedigree (her father, Jay, reportedly discovered Shirley Temple and cowrote the Depression-era anthem ''Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?'') and a case of late-'70s flakiness. In interviews, she espoused reincarnation and alluded to a love connection with Travolta. Despite her years on the soap All My Children, her post-Fever dance card wasn't exactly full, and she drifted into theater and music. Now 53, she has released a CD of ''New Age rock'' she wrote and recorded for her own label. ''A lot of the music was written during Fever,'' Gorney says, ''and it hit me that the songs were coming out of a Stephanie mind frame.''
