Puff Daddy's Bad Boy label has etched more chart burners in a few years than some do in 40. Moving between urban anthems from the Lox, Faith Evans, pint-size protege Jerome, and his own solo hits, this compilation clarifies Puffy's key innovation: dance-floor pleasers that tread the line between street cred and pop crossover while satisfying both camps. The only problem: There are too many Bad Boy hits to contain here. Good thing another volume's on the way.
