With video renters continuing to clamor for a piece of The Rock, the Alcatraz-based thriller remains embedded in the top spot after two weeks. Opting to make the $134 million-grossing action flick initially available by rental only (most pics earning this much are priced to sell), Hollywood Pictures Home Video reportedly shipped a record 830,000 copies of the tape, setting a new record for a rental-only title; FoxVideo shipped 735,000 Die Hard With a Vengeance tapes and Miramax sent out 715,000 copies of Pulp Fiction. A stone's throw away from The Rock on the chart rests Tin Cup, which, since it's on many critics' top 10 lists, will keep seeing heavy play in the coming weeks.
