Big Head Todd & The Monsters has perfected a beguiling blend of pop and slop on its fifth album, Beautiful World. The funky title tune and dreamy ''Crazy Mary'' walk the line between soft melodicism and artful bone crunching, but ''Caroline'' — a ''Kashmir'' clone — is nothing more than an excuse for guitarist Todd Park Mohr to go riff crazy.
