After three weeks as king of the mountain, Star Wars passed the crown to its 1980 sequel, The Empire Strikes Back. The orderly succession surprised no one but did prompt 20th Century Fox to make a marketing move. To give its second Special Edition more room to breathe, Fox postponed Return of the Jedi's rerelease by one week, to March 14. That's good for Howard Stern's Private Parts, which now has a chance to rule the March 7 weekend, but it set Tim Allen's Jungle2Jungle scrambling to get out of the way -- it's jumping from March 14 to March 7 to duck those Jedi.
