March madness gripped video viewers as well as hoop fans this week as the Michael Jordan-fueled Looney Tunes adventure Space Jam slam-dunked its competition, leaving The Hunchback of Notre Dame looking like a court jester. Greeted by mixed-to-bad reviews upon its release last November, the live-action-meets-animation spectacle grossed $90 million at the box office -- $10 million less than Hunchback and a relative disappointment considering its exorbitant cost. However, Warner Home Video's big-budget video marketing campaign seems to be scoring big -- insuring th-that, th-that, th-that's not all for Jam, folks.
