Having parlayed a three-year stint on Saturday Night Live into a gig as political pundit for Comedy Central, Chris Rock returns to his badass stand-up roots with this funny but uneven mishmash of live and studio-recorded shtick, Roll With The New. And though he tends to bury astute social commentary beneath a string of expletives, when Rock hits his mark, it's with keen precision. B+
