Punk-rock folkie Ani DiFranco excels at being both hard-ass and tender in Living in Clip (''You were never a good lay...but I adore you'' is a printable example). But what hasn't been so evident on the indie queen's eight studio albums is the goofy wit that softens DiFranco's dead-aim, blow-out-the-amps tunes. This live double disc captures the giddy exuberance of her revival-meeting shows along with the primal release that's her trademark. A-
