"The whole thing could have been avoided by simple communication," an optimistic Hikind says. But the gulf isn't easily bridged. However disturbed the neighborhood was by the production, says Yakin, "that's nothing compared to how p---ed off they're going to be when they see this film." Well, yes and no. Most Hasidic Jews don't go to the movies.
