Details Lead Performance: London Suede

Following a turbulent two years since the release of their second album — including the defection of cowriter and chief guitarist Bernard Butler — London Suede return with a determinedly harder yet more buoyant offering. There's atmosphere aplenty in Coming Up, but radio-friendly nuggets rather than glam, histrionic set pieces are the order of the day. B+
