Starjob

EW's GRADE
A

Details Lead Performance: The Frogs; Genre: Rock

This scathing six-song rock operetta, Starjob, from The Frogs uses a Kurt Cobainesque main character (Lord Grunge/Starboy) as a punching bag with which to parody early-'90s Seattle rock and its surrounding hoopla. Lyrics like ''Put this heroin in your arm/ You're on your way'' won't win this fraternal Wisconsin duo any sensitivity points, but they're the perfect antidote to last year's deluge of treacly, opportunistic Cobain tribute songs.
