The full-length U.S. debut of impetuous Scottish trio Bis falls just short of the splendor of their This Is Teen-C Power EP and preceding singles. Still, there's enough infectiousness in The New Transistor Heroes that any stylistic overstretching won't likely diminish the charm of the band's bratty disco-punk and faux insurrectionist dogma. B+
