If Heche is lucky, the attitude of New Line production exec Claire Rudnick Polstein, who produced her next film, Wag the Dog, in which she plays an adviser to political bigwig Robert De Niro, will prevail. "I wouldn't have the slightest problem casting Anne," Polstein says. "She's a chameleon and she's slightly different in every role she plays."
