Backed by a band that includes the legendary Memphis Horns, the Grammy-winning blues guitarist once again proves his technical prowess — and the result is a pleasant appreciation of '60s-style Memphis soul and Southern R&B, Sweet Potato Pie. Robert Cray's voice, however, lacks the grit and funky drive of his mentors, and will leave you longing for Otis Redding and Albert King. B-
