Video Review

Swingers

EW's GRADE
A

Details Movie Rated: R; Genre: Comedy; With: Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn

This movie is so money, it doesn't know how money it is. Or that's how the neo-Rat Packers would put it in this witty, honest look at lonely-hearted guys on the L.A. lounge scene. ''Money'' is the highest of compliments in the lingo used by smooth-talking ''baby'' magnet Trent (Vince Vaughn) in Swingers, who loyally tries to rouse his pal Mike (screenwriter and Friends regular Jon Favreau) from a post-breakup funk. Dolled up by a swingin' soundtrack and sassy homages to Tarantino and Scorsese, this smart, smart-ass comedy is watchable again and again on tape. If it were any fresher, it would deserve a slap in the face. A
