It's hardly news that jazz pianist Gene Harris is capable of great emotional impact. What is news is that this gospel set's standout guest is Niki Harris, Gene's daughter. Their collaboration on ''Battle Hymn of the Republic'' is awe inspiring, and Curtis Stigers sensitively sings ''Lean on Me.'' But some weaker guest shots in In His Hands lower the disc's overall rating. B-
