This Aussie romantic comedy starts off in charmingly wistful fashion, as teenage twin brothers (Aden Young and Saffron Bossell) fall for the virginal Melissa (the striking, Nicole Kidmanesque Burrows). But once the action fast-forwards 10 years to the tacky honeymoon retreat of the title, writer-director Craig Rosenberg's script of Hotel De Love pulls off the pitiful paradox of getting both more obvious and less believable. Although the early scenes and a sweet ending have ingredients of a good date video, the unfunny middle section may make you contemplate an early checkout. C+
