StormandStress

EW's GRADE
B+

This trio of guitar, bass, and drums creates disjointed improvisations that favor texture over structure in StormandStress. Too often such avant-rock radicalism results in monotony rather than boundary-expanding innovation. But by opting for surging rhythmic patterns instead of outright chaos and by blending in the occasional understated vocal, StormandStress make music, not just noise. B+
